Privacy policy for Alexa skills
Amazon’s developer console says the Privacy Policy URL is required when your Alexa skill uses account linking, includes advertising, or collects user information. Add it in the skill’s store details before certification, and describe exactly what your skill receives, such as account-linked profile data or user-provided information.

§ 4.1 · Voice requests

Questions
- Does my Alexa skill need a privacy policy?
- Amazon requires the URL if your skill uses account linking, includes advertising, or collects user information. Many simple skills still add one.
- Who stores the voice recordings?
- Amazon handles voice recordings under its own policies; your skill receives the request data Amazon sends. Describe only what your skill receives and keeps.
