Privacy policy for Discord bots

Discord’s Developer Terms require every application, including bots, to provide a privacy policy that accurately describes what data it collects, how it is used and shared, and how users can request deletion. You must keep a public, up-to-date link to it in the Developer Portal and make it easy to reach from the bot.

§ 1

Sample clause

§ 4.1 · Messages

The bot reads message content only in channels where it is used, to respond to commands. We store the server ID, channel ID and your user ID for settings. We do not store message text after responding, do not share Discord data with advertisers, and do not use it to train AI models. Run /delete-my-data to erase your records.
